'Tensions between the families of two of Reverton’s real estate agencies, the Parnhams and the Copelands, have simmered since a disputed land deal generations ago. These tensions come to the boil when both families find themselves drawn into in a Family Law Court battle which becomes inter-twined with the disputed land deal. Joy Brewer is a business partner of the Parnhams, her daughter Chantal becomes a pivotal player in the court proceedings. Frank Copeland, who has retired from his son’s real estate agency, and his great grandson, Jason, discover One Tree Hill when exploring the disputed land with old maps from the Riverton museum. That discovery also uncovers events which happened in the past; that now comes into play in the current standoff between the two families. Luke Naismith, who describes himself as some type of trouble-shooter; lives in a tramcar on his property with his partner Skye. When he tries to list his property for sale with both agencies, he becomes involved in the conflict between the warring families.' (Publication summary)
