An advertisement for John Sands, Bookseller and Stationer, who 'having determined to relinquish the Retail portion of his business, has to inform his friends and the public that large reductions will be made in the prices' of various books and stationery items 'to ensure a substantial reduction in this portion of his stock prior to its passing into other hands'.
Sands also announces that his business will 'continue and increase the manufacturing portion of the trade in all its branches'.
