AbstractHistoryArchive Description

'Two bikies travel around the country trying to stay out of trouble, but they always find it.'

Source: Screen Australia. (Sighted: 10/4/2014)

Notes

  • The film ended with a massacre involving members of the Comancheros: when the Milperra [Father's Day] massacre (involving members of the Comancheros and splinter group the Bandidos) occurred in 1984, the film became strongly associated with the massacre (not least because one of the massacre's victims, Robert 'Foggy' Lane, had appeared in Cosy Cool).

For example, later posters for the film pose the rhetorical question 'Is this the film that caused the Fathers Day Massacre?', where early posters used the tagline 'Hang on, baby ... it's a wild ride.'
