A report on a lecture (the first in a series) delivered by the Rev'd Dr Steel in connection with the Saturday Half-Holiday Association. The lecture was titled 'The Literary Efforts of the Working Man' and 'narrated several instances in which the efforts of working men to procure literary attainments had been crowned with success.'
