  • Awards, Scholarships and Grants

    In early February of 2005, Smith completed a three-month residency and exhibition at Youkobo Art Space in Tokyo, Japan and in 2007, Smith received the Helen Lempriere Travelling Art Scholarship, which delivered him the opportunity to undertake a series of artist mentorships in New York City. He also won the inaugural Wilson HTM National Art Prize and the Churchie National Emerging Art Award, both in 2008.
