AbstractHistoryArchive Description
'Mac (played by Bill Kerr) is a retired seahand, but cannot adjust to life on land. He talks his lifelong seafaring friend Tunny (Deryck Barnes) into sharing in the purchase of the vessel 'Afrodite'. Together they take on an aboriginal [sic] deck-hand to help them.
'Through the Afrodite, Mac rediscovers a purpose in life. He fears giving in to old age and see the boat as a way of stalling the inevitable.
'At a time when he needs them the most, Mac turns away from his wwife [sic], his best friend and, ironically, it is Lance, the aboriginal [sic] deck-hand, who understands his plight.'
