Advertisement for benefit performance for Mr Peck on 15 September 1838 to 'the celebrated Operatic Legendary Drama, with the original Music, by Carl Maria Von Webber, in three Acts, entitled Der Freischultz' and the 'Farce, called the 100 Pound Note'. The performance included dance and comic songs 'The Grapes of Blarney', 'The Devil & the Waterman Fireman', and Mordecai's Courtship'. The advertisement includes a description of the scenes and a list of the actors and the names of the characters they portray for each play.The Der Freischultz production was advertised as 'the first real opera.'
