After she is brutally attacked and left for dead, teenager Liz Murphy attempts suicide. As a desperate attempt to ease the trauma, her parents arrange for her to be hypnotised, to erase all memory of the attack. Months later, Liz lives what seems to be a normal life, but is troubled by the strange, distant behaviour of friends and family, and by flashes of memories that she can no longer recall.
