'WITH a giant family legacy, it's no surprise that Arrernte and Kalkadoon artist Thea Anamara Perkins has just created a giant mural at Carriageworks of her great grandmother Hefty Perkins. Thea comes from a long line of prominent First Nations activists and creatives. Her grandfather was civil rights activist Charles Perkins, her mother is renowned art curator Hetti Perkins, and her aunt is acclaimed film director Rachel Perkins.' (Introduction)
