'Jumaana Abdu is an Australian-born Egyptian-Palestinian [studying] medicine at UNSW. A young fiction writer and poet, she was the recipient of the 2018 UNSW Literary Journal Poetry Prize and the 2013 Whitlam Institute’s What Matters? overall prize.
