The Women in Arthur Phillip's Life,

'Arthur Phillip, first Governor of New South Wales, 1788-1792, was married twice. Neither of these women ever came to Australia. A third woman sailed with Phillip on HMS 'Sirius' in 1787 and her relationship with him has been the subject of speculation. The stories of these three individuals are the focus of this article.' — Review of Convicted 2018 single work biography ;'Peter Bradley was fortunate to find a first-hand account of Roland Robert Bradley, his Australian-born great grandfather’s shipwreck survival in 1894. Roland’s grandfather, James Bradley, was a First Fleet convict who arrived on the Scarborough. In the colony, he had married Sarah Barnes, transported on the Mary Ann in 1791. The shipwreck story initially inspired Peter’s interest in family and Australian history and this book is the result.' (Introduction)
