'Dr Rebecca Defina received her PhD from the Max Planck Institute for Psycholinguistics in Nijmegen, the Netherlands, in 2016. Since then she has worked with the Centre of Excellence for the Dynamics of Language and the Research Unit for Indigenous Language at The University of Melbourne, studying how children are learning to speak Pitjantjatjara in Pukatja/Ernabella.'  (Source: Australian Aboriginal Studies  1, 2019)
