BiographyHistory

Kamara Gray has been the artistic director of Artistry Youth Dance, and is a dance artist, teacher and choreographer. She has lectured regularly at schools, colleges and universities, and has worked in Australia and internationally, and her choreographer and performer credits include film, television and live events.

In her autobiography in Growing Up African in Australia, she notes that her parents, both of Jamaican heritage, grew up in London before moving to Papua New Guinea, where Gray was born, in 1979.
