'The Tank is a rollicking originla music theatre work that uses a montage of drama and monologue spiced with lyrical and joyous music to celebrate the idea of family and spirit of place.
'The bleak Tasmanian valley in which The Tank is set could be anywhere in eastern Australia. It is the story of Dora Carney and her journey from adolescence to old age as a wife and mother, expert in the art of making do.'

Presented by Ten Days on the Island, Burnie Civic Centre, and West Coast Regional Arts, and produced by Salamanca Arts Centre and Roar Film. Performed as part of 2005's Ten Days on the Island, at the Pacific Crystal Palace, Hobart (2-3 April 2005), Rosebery Memorial Hall, Rosebery (8 April 2005), and Civic Centre, Burnie (9 April 2005).
Directors: Tania Bosak (original production) and Steve Thomas.
