BiographyHistory

'Richard Evans’ eclectic career has included service as a federal politician, industry leader, senior executive, and media commentator.

'He served as the member for Cowan (WA) from 1993 to 1998 in the Commonwealth House of Representatives. His political service was during troubled political times including Native Title debates, the emergence of One Nation, GST and tax reform, the waterfront battles, republic debates, gun reform, industrial relations reform and the challenge of multiple party leadership changes.

'Richard specialises in writing about the art of power and persuasion and the quirky folks who wish to lead, or perhaps mislead, the electorate.' (Source : Book launch website)
