  • Epigraph: "How much readjustment is really necessary? Some doleful people speak as though the country were hopelessly impoverished. Others talk about the unemployment problem as insoluble. This is all ridiculous, and it can be proved that if the adjustments are made at an early stage, and evenly distributed, there need be little hardship for anybody."
