Sam Dalgarno has been 'a historical studies PhD candidate in the School of Philosophical, Historical and International Studies at Monash University. His research interests include Aboriginal history, the relationship between history and memory, oral history, historiography and history’s public life. His thesis will examine and seek to explain the range of highly critical reactions and challenges to the “Stolen Generations” narrative that were prompted, in large part, by the release of the Human Rights and Equal Opportunity Commission’s 1997 report, Bringing Them Home.' (Journal of Australian Studies Volume 42, 2018 - Issue 1)
