'Nemle was born in Clanning but she did not speak of it to Marheh, her apprentice. Her memories of the place are so painful she has never wished to return. Now however, she and Marheh must face a frightening challenge in that very place. One of the Silberay has been broken by the power centered around the town and Marheh and Nemle will need all the skill, courage and strength their years of training have given them in order to restore Clanning to the place of peace and content it was meant to be.'
