  • Broadcast on BBC Home Service as part of Saturday-Night Theatre, 23 October 1948.

    Producer: Martyn C. Webster.

    Cast:  Richard Williams (Inspector Marsh of Scotland Yard), Andrew Faulds (Andrews, his assistant), Charles Leno (Charlie Hopkins, ex-cracksman, now a publican), Dorothy Summers (Aunty, housekeeper of the 'Dog and Duck'), Marjorie Westbury (Bessie, barmaid), Harry Hutchinson (Hallelujah Harry, potboy of the Dog and Duck), Lydia Sherwood (Estelle Graham, the Duke's mistress), Lewis Stringer (Bill Hopkins), Ronan O'Casey (The Duke, a crook), Janet Morrison (Catie the Duke's new girl friend), and Ronald Sidney (Joseph).
