The Rhyme of Grievance, T. R. Napper , single work short story science fiction
The first humanoid robot to get equal rights, an AI built in the form of a female robot, lives in luxury, while Khamla, a low-caste woman, lives in abject poverty. Her dissatisfaction makes Khamla an easy target for recruitment by revolutionaries, who send her to kill the AI while they target its scientist creators.
