'Edith Ziegler is an Australian historian who holds an honorary position in the School of Humanities at the University of New England in New South Wales. After a corporate career spent largely in an American multinational corporation she retired to pursue her long-held interests in the social and cultural history of the United States. Dr Ziegler lives in Sydney, Australia and has undertaken research on the American country life movement of the early twentieth century–particularly its implications for rural schools.'
