'While the technology used by journalists and builders in the story is impressive, it is the effect it has on Meri, an ex-broadcast news star, that makes the story zing. Meri is now working on behalf of a community group determined to stop a new road being grown (yes, grown) through its suburb. Quinn, another journalist, arrives at the scene of the protest to do a story on the development. Quinn was sweet on Meri when they were students together, and he is as interested in her as he is in the protest.'
