Champion (editor), Bernard O'Dowd (editor), Walter Murdoch (editor), 1907 Melbourne : Lothian , 1907-1909 Z855418 1907 periodical (8 issues) The Trident's motto was 'Literarum linguarumquae causa'. It incorpotrated Le Francais and included items in French and German, as well as English, until May 1908. It published articles on literary topics, book news and poetry and serialised an autobiography by H. H. Champion. Numerous Melbourne writers, including 'Furnley Maurice' , John Le Gay Brereton, Bernard O'Dowd and Vance Palmer, and some of the editors published in the magazine.
