Authors were selected through the Australia Council for the Arts Literature Fund, and in stayed in a studio made available in 1985 by poet and author Nancy Keesing, in order 'to do something constructive for Australian writers'. Contributors include Brian Castro, Bernard Cohen, Gillian Mears, Marion Halligan, Gary Catalano and Victor Barker. Includes illustrations and contributor notes.' (Publication summary)
