Sanctuary is a Canadian science-fiction television program, created by Australian-born script-writer and producer Damian Kindler. Kindler began Sanctuary as a web series, the eight episodes of which (all scripted by Kindler) were released online between 14 March and 30 August 2007. The eight webisodes formed the basis of the first two stories of series one, once American cable channel Syfy, seeing the success of the web series, picked the program up for a thirteen-episode season.

Sanctuary has currently run through four seasons, excluding the initial webisodes. Kindler is the only Australian script-writer for the program.

Stargate SG-1 is one of the longest-running American science-fiction television programs. Based on the feature film of the same name, it follows a military crew in their explorations of the galaxy via a series of portals called 'stargates'.

Australian-born producer and script-writer Damian Kindler joined the Stargate SG-1 production team in 2002 (for series six), and has subsequently written extensively for both Stargate SG-1 and it's spin-off, Stargate Atlantis.
