1 2 Word Play Boho Interactive , 2013 single work drama science fiction 'Termites build mounds in perfect cubes. Tornadoes strike the same building every day for a month. Storms of immune defence flood the lungs of completely healthy people and cataclysmic chain reactions begin spontaneously in nuclear devices.

The rules are beginning to break down.

BoHo Interactive presents a theatre performance, in collaboration CSIRO, about biosecurity.

Complex systems are made up of a large number of interconnected parts; simple on their own but producing unpredictable results when they interact.

People cluster by demographic, cities and rural areas become co-dependent, cars and buses and trains and bicycles and ferries coalesce into a transportation network. Now, something is beginning to affect systems of all kinds.

The rules are beginning to break down.' (Source: www.csiro.au/en/Portals/Education/Programs/Discovery-Centre/Whats-on/Word-Play.aspx )
1 1 True Logic of the Future Boho Interactive , 2010 single work drama science fiction thriller

'Drawing on the ideas of 19th century economist, meteorologist, logician, musician, programmer, 3D photographer, philosopher and cloud-maker William Stanley Jevons, cross-artform ensemble Boho weave narrative theatre, interactive sequences and a live soundtrack of trombone / electronica into a taut science-fiction thriller exploring the choices we make when we run out of choices.

'True Logic of the Future takes place in the near future in a city on the brink of collapse. Farmland drought and coastal floods drive refugees into the city, industry collapses and protesters fill the streets. Social systems are failing and disaster is imminent. Three citizens chosen at random must confront a decision that will transform their society's future.

'As the challenges and threats that face 21st century civilisation loom larger, True Logic asks the question: How much would you sacrifice for the greater good?

'In collaboration with Boho, the Powerhouse Museum has constructed unique interactive replicas of Jevons' 19th century inventions, including an artificial cloud chamber and 'Logic Piano' paleocomputer. Using these hands-on devices, the audience direct the performers through a series of interactive games, solving puzzles and guiding the story towards its conclusion.'

1 1 Food for the Great Hungers Boho Interactive , 2009 single work drama

'[Food for the Great] Hungers uses techniques from Complex Systems science to create a simulated re-imagining of Australian history since 1901 under the audience's control. Using an array of purpose-built interactive devices, the audience will revise and alter Australia's responses to the challenges and crises of the 20th century, exploring a range of alternative Australias to answer questions such as: how did our society grow and evolve over the decades and centuries? Is Australia's unique culture the result of decisive action on the part of its leaders, the physical geography of this continent, or merely due to chance?'
