First broadcast on 2 June 1940, as the first in the ABC Competition Plays series.
Broadcast again in 1953 in a highly advertised production, starring Rod Taylor (under the name Rodney Taylor) as Robert Claire and Audrey Teesdale as Harriet Barnes.
