History
Inaugurated in 2019, the Peter Steele Poetry Prize is a writing-up award for University of Melbourne students who have submitted a thesis within the past five years, with preference given to PhD students. The award is for students who have included a poetry collection or verse novel as part of their thesis and may be used to support activities related to the preparation of a manuscript for submission or publication.
