Set in Sydney, the story opens with the narrator commenting on the names of cleaners working in an office block on York Street: 'Juan Domingo Perón, Julio Iglesias, Diego Maradona, José Artigas, Leo Dan, Pablo Neruda, Alfredo Distéfano, Lucho Barrios y Augusto Pinochet. Este ultimo era el que limpiaba los toiletes.' [Juan Domingo Perón, Julio Iglesias, Diego Maradona, José Artigas, Leo Dan, Pablo Neruda, Alfredo Distéfano, Lucho Barrios and Augusto Pinochet. This last one was the one who cleaned the toilets. -Translation]
