      • Author's note and dedication : Rebecca Carmichael was the main character in a very silly radio comedy I wrote with Peter Wear for the ABC. Peter rather lost interest in her and when the opportunity came to write a book about her he found he had other more important things to do. I, on the other hand, continue to be obsessed by Rebecca and everything she stands for. Hence these stories. They are, of course, dedicated to Peter Wear and Rebecca herself, whoever and wherever she may be.
