      • This English edition of Hore-Ruthven's poems includes the contents of The Happy Warrior. In addition, it has an Epilogue (taken from The Rifle Brigade Chronicle) describing the circumstances which led to Pat Ruthven's death.

      • The Rifle Brigade Chronicle ran from 1890-1977 (plus additional volumes 1979, 1982, 1983, 1984). Published in London, it appeared annually, and chronicled the professional achievements and personal concerns of the (then) four Regimental Battalions.
