Margaret McDonell has been a freelance editor and indexer. She completed her PhD at the University of Queensland, under the supervision of Gillian Whitlock. Her research focuses on issues of cross-cultural writing and editing. In 2005, McDonell held an Asialink residency working with Penguin India.
