'Buggins' comments on the behaviour of the 'pompous tragdeian ... Mr Barry Sullivan' at London's Drury Lane Theatre. He then goes on to note the amateur performance at the Lyceum Theatre of Spectre's Dream [sic] and, in more detail, the production at the Royal Victoria Theatre of William Shakespeare's Twelfth Night.

An advertisement for the Sydney Mechanics' School of Arts production of Charles Thatcher's Life on the Goldfields. (The title of the play is not specified in the advertisement.) The production features 'new locals' (i.e. local songs) including 'The Varoville Stud' and 'Insolvency in Sydney'.
