AbstractHistoryArchive Description

A narrative which describes how two Polish Australian boys from Mount Isa are kidnapped at gunpoint by a runaway criminal, an Aboriginal man, and made to drive north until their car's encounter with a wild bull on the road gives them a chance to escape into the bush. They wander through the North Queensland wilderness for several days, without food or water, until, half-dead with thirst and exhaustion, they are rescued by some local Aboriginal youths, who have heard of the official search for the missing boys.
