— Review of The Young Speaker : A Series of Short Selections in Prose and Verse Compiled for the Use of Junior Classes 1867 anthology poetry The reviewer describes the book as a 'handy' selection of prose and verse for the young elocutionist. However, he takes issue with all the author's italics, but concludes young readers 'will not be much demoralised if they adopt Mr Hill's emphasis'.
