Notes

  • Nguyễn Ngọc Loan, as referred to by the author, appeared in the infamous photograph taken by Eddie Adams in 1968 in which General Nguyễn Ngọc Loan shot a suspected Viet Cong in the head. Adams later attended Nguyễn Ngọc Loan's funeral and said 'The guy is a hero. America shoud be crying'.
