In Passing, Ronald Campbell , single work column

In this column, the editor discusses changes that have occurred at the magazine's offices since the end of the war. In particular he talks of some of the unusual characters that visited in the past. He comments:

'No, our visitors are not what they were. No longer do writers forget to put on their collars and ties, nor artists their socks. No longer do their wives send us frantic telegrams asking us where they are. No longer do they send us handwritten manuscripts because they have pawned their typewriters. These are prosaic times!'
