Our Books May Be Pirated, single work criticism
‘Australian authors published in Australia are at grave disadvantages because of the very long delay in overhauling our outdated copyright laws. Until Australia passes new copyright legislation she cannot join the Universal Copyright Convention. As matters stand, Australian works published here could be ‘pirated’ in the U.S.A. or elsewhere unless the author and the publisher fulfill a number of tedious and exacting formalities in the U.S.A. and elsewhere.’ (p 1)
