Ruby's adventures with her magic carpet continue. Ruby is going to move to Babylon with her mother and grandmother to attend a school for genies until they all return to Paddington Street and their rebuilt house. Ruby continues her training in magic but is not confident of her abilities until the Doomsday curse is invoked, and she finds herself at the centre of the crisis. The father that she never knew was working on this very curse when he disappeared 12 years before, and Ruby must solve the mystery of who is invoking it as well as ultimately helping to resolve it with her father's help.
