Alice is restless. She's bored with her life in small town, bored with her boyfriend David. But the arrival of 'the summer people' - the tourists who descend on Nelson Springs each summer - promises a bit of excitement. This year the Lake House, where Alice works as a cleaner each summer, has been rented by an exotic trio - a glamorous ex-rock star, her French boyfriend, and her very unconventional son, Taz. With his long hair and wild clothes, Taz couldn't be more different from David and Alice's other friends. Alice is drawn into the dramas of this strange family - and finds her life getting more complicated every day...
