Notes

  • Dedication: To My Sister Isabel.

    To You.
Spring broke - a golden, rippling ray, / And everywhere it broke away, / A pearl there lay / A pearl there lay.
It broke where almond blossom grew, / And everywhere the petals blew. / They spoke of you! / They spoke of you!
It broke upon the wattle bloom, / And drove away the shades of gloom, / For in their gold / Of you they told.
The birds are singing in the trees, / And every echo on the breeze, / The note I knew - / It spoke of you.
