Notes

  • Dedication: In memory of my father, John Lawrence Tierney 1892-1972, 'bush boy' of Eurunderee, via Mudgee, NSW, where his father
(1838-1891) taught Henry Lawson (in 1876), and who borrowed my Christian names, Brian James, as a pen name for his own writings; and my mother, Effie Isabel Tierney (nee Brodie) 1897-1976, who spent the first months of her life in a tent while her father (1860-1931) was a civil engineer building a railway in Western Australia and whose great grand uncle was Hamilton Hume (1797-1873), the first Australian-born explorer.- Brian James Hume Tierney
  • Sequel to Bush Boys and Bush Rangers.
