Romantic comic opera.
The Girl of Seville is described in advertising as a 'Spanish comic opera.'
Notes
-
The Brisbane Courier theatre critic suggested that Walter Johnson's Town Topic's Company should not be termed a costume comedy company 'as they [worked] on musical comedy and revue lines.' The company comprised 22 performers supported by an orchestra of eight musicians (18 October 1919, p16).
