The story of Gyp, a little sun-brown girl who lives in a farmhouse on stilts, on a hill among sugarcane fields. Gyp meets some magical friends, including the Moon Man, Wind Lady, Lantana Bramble People, and a work boot that comes to life, as she plots to free the two Captive Echoes that she can hear calling to each other across the valley each day.
