Censorship notes: One censor wrote 'The author seems to imagine that guttersnipe vulgarity is virile frankness. He seems to be influenced by Joyce without possessing that author's finesse and penetrating psychology'.
Censorship notes: The prohibition was maintained through the reviews in 1958 and 1963 and an individual review on 04.07.1969. The title was released from prohibition on 04.01.1970.
