Stephen Oliver writes of this poem that it was: 'carefully typed out on two A4 sheets of paper and placed in my letter box, was addressed to me by Vicki Viikidas as some sort of peace offering - or so she subsequently told me'. Oliver explains the background to the need for a peace offering in his piece of creative nonfiction 'One Day in the Life of Vicki Viidikas' (2008).
Oliver's copy of the poem is 'signed in Vicki's hand and dated 9.4.88'. He believes it to be the original text.
