The story of a lame boy living in the Mallee. (Marcie Muir Australian Children's Books : a bibliography : volume one 1774-1972 (1992): 372). The Oxford Companion to Australian Children's Literature (1993): 367 describes it thus: 'Clancy Collins leaves the Mallee and joins Bunny Shepherd in Melbourne. They have a series of adventures, and Clancy's lameness is cured after a car accident.'
