- form y The Sentimental Bloke ( dir. Alan Burke ) Melbourne : ABC Television , 1976 Z1862884 1976 single work film/TV satire Timed to honour the centenary of C.J. Dennis's birth, this version of 'The Bloke' is based on the Nancy Brown/Albert Arlen musical. Blundell who starred as 'The Bloke' in this film went on to write his own adaptation for the stage.

A sound recording was made by the ABC and a television adaptation by Alan Burke of the musical was produced in 1976 by ABC-TV.

Adapted for the 1985 ballet produced by the Australian Ballet at the Sydney Opera House May 1995 and revived in 2002. Choreography by Robert Ray with music arranged by John Lanchbery from the Albert Arlen musical.
