AbstractHistoryArchive Description

'This play has three scenes--morning, afternoon and night. All scenes are depicted in the living room of Mrs. Hennessey's "residential."

The wireless is tuned in to the "running commentaries" from the racecourse, sporting papers are strewn over the sofa, and the telephone is handy for anyone to ring the S.P. shop.

All the people are the house are in some way interested in the races ... The play is built around the sort of Saturday that thousands of Australians live every week-end.'
