  • Author's note: To the Reader. With most people it is a pleasant part of life to share with others our joys, thoughts, songs, sports, amusements, and social friendships in our everyday lives.

    To those who love Art and Ideals, and Nature, the writer of this book wishes to share some poesy, thought, and dreams.

    It is to be hoped the reader may find some pleasure in passing quiet hours to follow the wandering moods of the Muse, and share in some part the balms of solitude.

    Nearly the whole of this work was written in Western Australia.
